The Operational Strategist serves as the operational backbone of Nutanix's Performance and People Development (PPD) team, owning global demand management, intake processes, portfolio governance, and vendor relationships. This role is responsible for managing the enterprise-wide learning and development request intake process, ensuring requests are appropriately scoped, prioritized, and routed to the right learning consultants or facilitators. Key responsibilities include managing the global intake process as the primary point of contact for People Business Partners and business leaders submitting training requests; conducting needs consultation and triaging to align requests with strategic priorities; scoping work and prioritizing projects before handoff; and determining appropriate solution paths (off-the-shelf vs. custom). The role oversees portfolio governance and catalog management, maintaining and updating the global training schedule and catalog across all regions (AMER, EMEA, APJ, and India) to ensure alignment with Nutanix's strategic goals. Vendor and financial management responsibilities include managing high-level external vendor relationships, reviewing Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work, overseeing budget tracking and purchase orders, and submitting contracts to procurement. The Operational Strategist drives operational effectiveness through process documentation, standard operating procedures, and continuous workflow improvement recommendations. Additional responsibilities include liaising with the Learning Technologist on system administration, course creation, and survey requests in the LMS and LXP platforms; coordinating logistics and scheduling for instructor assignments and location bookings; and managing PPD communications and the global mailbox. This is a hybrid role based in Durham, NC, requiring 2-3 days per week in-office presence with potential for additional in-office time depending on team needs.
