Open is a modern wellness studio blending music, sound, breath, and movement to create shared mindfulness experiences both in-person and online. Based in Venice, the company is backed by prominent investors including Founders Fund, LVMH, Coatue, and founders from DoorDash, Sweetgreen, and Oura. You will lead Open's offline growth strategy and execution across Los Angeles, NYC, London, Miami, and new markets. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role reporting to the CEO and Growth team, combining strategic partnership development with on-the-ground event production and community building. Key Responsibilities: - Own offline growth across multiple markets, creating distinctive in-person experiences while building scalable playbooks and systems - Act as a cultural tastemaker, identifying where Open should show up and shaping the brand's in-person identity - Manage the full partnership pipeline: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, contracting, activation, and renewal with brands, creators, venues, and cultural partners - Design and produce community classes, pop-ups, takeovers, off-site experiences, and brand activations - Develop grassroots growth programs including street teams, sampling, flyering, and ambassador networks - Own activation execution across production, vendors, staffing, budgets, and guest experience - Use performance data and market insights to optimize programming and identify what scales - Serve as Open's eyes and ears on the ground, translating local cultural and community insights into opportunities Requirements: - 3+ years in events, experiential marketing, field marketing, or community building, ideally in wellness, hospitality, retail, or lifestyle - Proven track record producing in-person experiences on time and on budget - Ability to design playbooks, media packages, target audience plans, and local adaptation tactics - Strong local network across LA's wellness, creative, and business communities - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and guest experience - Hands-on and resourceful; comfortable with both strategic planning and tactical execution - Clear point of view on how Open should look, sound, and feel in person - Genuine interest in mindfulness, music, movement, and shared experiences - Ability to establish replicable systems for planning and operating events at scale - Skill in translating partnerships into clear internal narratives for cross-functional alignment
