Salary: EUR 40,000 - 45,000 / annual
Cosuno is a fast-growing construction-tech startup revolutionizing the building industry through a digital platform for procurement and tendering processes. The company uses AI to analyze pricing data and help construction firms create precise, efficient offers.
You will establish and run Cosuno's Berlin office operations while progressively taking on People Operations responsibilities. This is a hands-on role with clear growth trajectory: approximately 70% office management initially, with the remaining 30% in People Ops expanding as the role, team, and company scale.
OFFICE & FACILITY MANAGEMENT (primary focus)
- Manage day-to-day Berlin office operations in Kreuzberg: guest reception, mail/deliveries, kitchen, meeting rooms, and shared spaces
- Serve as primary contact for vendors (landlord, cleaning, contractors, catering suppliers)
- Administer access, keys, and workstations; ensure new hires have fully prepared desks on day one
PROCUREMENT & BUDGET
- Own office ordering and supplies procurement
- Review invoices, prepare for finance team, monitor office budget
EVENTS & TEAM EXPERIENCE
- Organize team events, offsites, summer and winter celebrations (venue, catering, logistics)
- Coordinate onsite weeks when remote team members visit Berlin
PEOPLE OPERATIONS (growth area)
- Prepare onboardings: welcome packages, workspace setup, Personio data entry, first-day coordination
- Maintain personnel files and master data; issue certificates; manage document collection
- Monitor time tracking and absences in Personio; prepare payroll inputs
- Support recruiting: interview coordination in Ashby, candidate care
- Contribute to People projects (benefits, employee handbook, feedback cycles)
WORK STYLE
- Full ownership from day one with support from the People & Culture team
- Build reliable processes and document solutions rather than firefighting repeatedly
- Use AI tools (Claude, etc.) daily as standard practice for drafting, checklists, analysis
- Growth pace aligned with office stability and team needs; regular open conversations about role evolution
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent German and good English (international team, bilingual daily work)
- Prior experience in office management, administration, reception, hospitality, or events; or commercial apprenticeship with comparable practice
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation; proactive problem-solving
- Discretion with personnel data and confidential information
- Comfortable with digital tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion) and willingness to learn new systems
- Genuine interest in People/HR topics and commitment to developing this skillset progressively
PLUS FACTORS
- Personio or similar HR system experience
- Prior exposure to HR administration, recruiting coordination, or payroll support
- Startup growth environment experience
- Basic understanding of invoice review and budget control
- Team event organization experience
