Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology, AI, and autonomy. The Voyager team specializes in cutting-edge computing and communication solutions for network-edge environments, integrating enterprise networking with robust hardware and software platforms built for demanding operational contexts.
As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer, you will serve as the critical technical bridge between Product Development (R&D), Production, and external contract manufacturers. Your core mission is translating ambiguous designs and early prototypes from R&D into solid, high-yield, repeatable builds that scale seamlessly in production. You will work with next-generation processors and cutting-edge hardware, playing a key role in delivering high-stakes defense programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the technical anchor connecting R&D, test engineering, production, contract manufacturers, finance, and legal teams
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and driving Engineering Release and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes using PLM systems
- Designing and executing product and process validations to prove designs can scale from prototype to hundreds of units in production
- Partnering with experienced engineering mentors on prototyping, initial builds, and design verification, starting with straightforward products (radio brackets, accessories) before taking autonomous ownership of major product lines
- Attending product development SCRUMs and cross-functional meetings to keep stakeholders aligned on schedule, quality, and technical requirements
- Analyzing existing products and processes for failure analysis, identifying design-for-manufacturability (DFMA) opportunities and continuous improvements
Required qualifications:
- Degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3–5 years of electronics industry experience, specifically with PCBs/PCBAs, cables, fan assemblies, and complex electromechanical integrations
- Proven experience managing data in PLM systems (PTC Windchill, Teamcentre) and ideally MRP systems (Oracle, SAP Business One)
- Solid working experience in ISO 9001 certified environments with strong grasp of product and process validation methodologies
- "T-shaped" engineer with broad understanding of hardware engineering, supply chain, and finance alongside deep electronics manufacturing competence
- Articulate communicator with confidence to professionally push back on designs not optimized for assembly
