Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a senior Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI) Control Officer to build, lead, and enforce the NNPI Protection Program across the Maritime business line. This is a high-authority, mission-critical role serving as the primary authority responsible for ensuring full compliance with Naval Reactors, NAVSEA, and Department of the Navy security directives.
Key responsibilities include architecting and maintaining the NNPI Security Plan in strict alignment with NAVSEA NN-801 and OPNAVINST N9210.3; serving as the designated marking authority for determining and applying NNPI/NOFORN classifications on technical data, drawings, hardware, and digital files; establishing and managing rigorous access-control protocols to grant, monitor, and revoke NNPI access based on citizenship, clearance, and operational necessity; enforcing strict controls preventing disclosure to foreign nationals or unauthorized personnel in accordance with export control laws; collaborating with Information Security and IT teams to ensure digital environments and networks meet federal standards such as NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2+; serving as primary liaison to government security officers for compliance inspections and directing investigation and reporting of security infractions; and developing mandatory NNPI handling and awareness training for all cleared personnel.
Required qualifications include U.S. citizenship, active Secret clearance (or higher), proven experience as a designated NNPICO or Assistant NNPICO with organizations handling NNPI, in-depth knowledge of NAVSEA NN-801 and DoD CUI guidelines, a bachelor's degree in Security Management, Engineering, Business, or related field with 5+ years of security compliance or classified program management experience, and demonstrated ability to independently enforce compliance across cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications include prior service in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program, experience establishing NNPI environments for new programs, familiarity with NISPOM, ITAR, and NIST SP 800-171, and active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
