Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at gigawatt scale. The Network team is responsible for the connectivity backbone that enables frontier AI training at unprecedented scale.
In this role, you will own external connectivity strategy and execution across Fluidstack's growing fleet of data centers. Your responsibilities include:
- Manage carrier relationships, dark fiber procurement, internet exchange connectivity, and cloud interconnects across multiple sites
- Plan backbone capacity between sites years in advance, ensuring connectivity scales with compute demand
- Negotiate technical and commercial terms with carriers and fiber providers, balancing cost, latency, and diversity
- Own the connectivity roadmap, making deliberate engineering tradeoffs across reliability, latency, and cost
- Establish and enforce SLA frameworks with carriers, building escalation paths and accountability mechanisms
The network team is solving problems at an unprecedented scale: building fabrics for 100k+ accelerator clusters, operating tens to hundreds of gigawatts of network infrastructure as a unified system, and delivering full site networks in days rather than quarters through automation and zero-touch provisioning.
You should have deep experience engineering carrier and long-haul connectivity at scale, procuring dark fiber and lit services with knowledge of contract risk, and planning capacity data-driven. Experience with DWDM, subsea systems, peering strategy, and fiber route analysis is a bonus. The ideal candidate has held carriers accountable to SLAs and built the escalation processes to do so.
