Valon is building an AI-native operating system for regulated finance, starting with mortgage servicing. As a Series C company backed by a16z, Valon operates its own mortgage servicing business managing $110+ billion in loans and has transformed the industry from 0% to 60%+ margins while improving customer experience.
In this Product Strategist role, you will shape the development of Valon's SaaS servicing platform and own rollouts with enterprise clients. You'll act as the bridge between customers and Valon's R&D teams, focusing specifically on Foreclosure & Bankruptcy processes. Your responsibilities include:
- Serve as a mortgage servicing subject matter expert, helping shape business requirements that become product features
- Engage with clients across the full deployment cycle: sales demos, implementation, enablement, and post-launch support
- Educate clients on how to use Valon's system successfully and tailor solutions that drive measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to translate customer feedback into feature requests and platform improvements
- Travel approximately 25-50% to support client implementations
You'll work in a hybrid role blending project management, problem-solving, and strategic collaboration. This is an opportunity to directly shape product strategy while working with enterprise clients to solve real-world challenges in a modernizing industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of mortgage servicing experience with strong domain knowledge of mortgage servicing industry concepts
- Direct experience managing the technical and operational implementation of a new servicing system
- Prior experience with Foreclosure & Bankruptcy preferred
- Client-facing experience
