Anduril Industries is seeking a Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MSA) Engineer to join the Flight Engineering team within the Air Dominance and Strike organization. This role is central to the development of advanced flight system technologies for autonomous aerospace systems, including the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program selected by the Air Force.
In this position, you will develop, implement, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of various aircraft platforms. You will create vehicle and sub-system models with appropriate fidelity levels to integrate with flight control and mission autonomy software. Your work will support the full development lifecycle—from design through testing and implementation—with direct involvement in ground and flight test experimentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and coordinating deployment and maintenance of vehicle models and simulation instantiations across multiple Anduril programs
- Creating physics-based digital representations of flying vehicles
- Ensuring proper integration between modeling, simulation, and broader flight control systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on guidance, navigation, and control algorithm development
- Supporting rapid prototyping and iterative testing cycles
The ideal candidate has aerospace systems experience and understands the appropriate fidelity levels for sub-system and system-level modeling. You should be proficient in vehicle/sub-system modeling, coding practices, and software integration. A passion for flight systems and experience with simulation tools is essential. This is a hands-on role where you'll see your digital models directly impact real flight testing and operational systems.
