Anduril Industries is seeking a Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MSA) Engineer to join the Flight Engineering team within the Air Dominance and Strike organization. This role is pivotal in driving the design, development, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge flight system technologies for advanced aerospace systems, including tactical missile systems, strategic weapons, and hypersonic strike and defense systems.
You will develop, implement, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of various vehicles that Anduril operates. The position requires developing and coordinating deployment and maintenance of vehicle models and simulation instantiations across multiple ongoing programs. You will work on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment, including:
- Simulation solutions for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) algorithm development
- Software-In-The-Loop (SITL), Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL), and Pilot-In-The-Loop (PITL) solutions
- Customer product training simulation solutions
- Monte-Carlo simulation analysis
- Simulation and test data analysis tools and processes
- End-to-end configuration of SITL, HITL, and PITL for test vehicles in support of safe and efficient flight tests
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts to understand and adequately model subsystem, system, and system-of-system dynamics. Working with internal and external customers, you will understand simulation requirements and develop efficient modeling and simulation solutions. The ideal candidate has aerospace systems experience and understands the appropriate fidelity of subsystem and system-level modeling required to integrate with flight control and mission autonomy software. You must be proficient in vehicle/subsystem modeling and well-versed in coding practices and software integration. You will be involved in flight testing the systems you develop, bringing hands-on experience to the field.
