We are seeking a Mobile Engineer E2 with strong React Native expertise to design and build cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android that enhance the BitGo customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering) to define, design, and ship new features
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and bugs
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement culture
- Provide mentorship to peers through code reviews and education on best practices
- Work closely with product managers and designers to understand and refine requirements
The role is based in Bangalore and requires onsite presence Monday to Friday. You must be able to support working hours aligned with EST/PST time zones.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of proven experience in mobile application development using React Native
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, ES6, and TypeScript
- Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java
- Solid understanding of React and React Native architecture, navigation, state management, native modules, and OTA releases
- Experience with secure storage, authentication, encryption, certificate and network security, biometrics, and secure handling of sensitive data
- Strong understanding of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles
- Experience with SQL databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and RESTful API design
- Strong understanding of unit and functional testing with proven debugging skills
- Experience with Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, and CI tools
- Experience building observability and monitoring capabilities (crash reporting, analytics, profiling, memory/battery/network optimization)
- Familiarity with App Store and Google Play deployment, release management, crash monitoring, and production debugging
Preferred:
- Native mobile development experience (iOS/Android)
- Experience in the financial industry
- Familiarity with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems
