Okta is seeking a Mobile Architect to lead the technical vision and strategy for its mobile product portfolio, including Okta Verify, FastPass, Device Assurance, and public SDKs. This is a senior technical leadership role within the Access Management Engineering Team, which builds foundational authentication and authorization infrastructure for Okta's identity platform.
In this role, you will define long-term architectural roadmaps for mobile products, with primary focus on the Apple ecosystem (macOS/iOS) and secondary expertise in Android. You'll serve as the definitive technical expert, responsible for designing sustainable, secure, and scalable mobile architecture across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and championing the mobile architectural vision and technical roadmap aligned with product strategy
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to senior engineers across teams
- Leading architectural review and decision-making for foundational components and core platform initiatives
- Collaborating with Product Management, Security, and Engineering leadership to translate requirements into robust architectural designs
- Staying current with mobile development trends, evaluating new tools, platforms, and architectural approaches
- Contributing to technical designs, architectural proposals, and documentation that set organizational standards
- Overseeing critical code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural best practices, security standards, and performance criteria
You will have high technical responsibility, ownership, and strategic impact within Okta's Workforce Identity Cloud Engineering organization.
