Salary: EUR 5,000 - 5,900 / monthly

As a DevOps Engineer in the Missions department, you will be responsible for keeping mission-critical systems running smoothly by deploying ICEYE software, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving processes and documentation. Your work directly supports the success of ICEYE's Mission business line customers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Delivering ground segments (the operational "brain" of satellite systems that processes satellite data into imagery) to Mission business customers
- Providing technical support for both satellite and ground segment systems for Mission customers, including issue analysis and problem solving
- Performing planned maintenance and software upgrades for customer on-premise systems
- Ensuring ground segment systems reliably deliver satellite data and imagery to Mission customers
- Maintaining uninterrupted operations by proactively supporting and upgrading customer on-premise environments
- Rapidly resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and protect mission-critical services
- Building trust with customers through responsive technical support and seamless deployments
- Driving continuous improvement by collaborating across teams and refining operational processes
- Participating in on-call rotation after 6 months of onboarding
You will work with a technical stack including Kubernetes (SUSE Rancher), Helm, on-premise/hybrid cloud deployments (VMware), Infrastructure as Code and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, Go), secrets management (OpenBao/Vault), Grafana observability, containerized PostgreSQL and InfluxDB administration, and REST API integrations.

REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 5 years of professional experience with a focus on deployment, configuration, and operational management of software services, particularly within Kubernetes
- Experience taking technical responsibility for a high-availability service
- Strong dual foundation in both software development and DevOps principles
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues across the entire stack—from underlying hardware and all layers of networking, up through vSphere, Linux, Kubernetes, and applications
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation after 6 months onboarding
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (including SUPO and NATO level security clearance where required)
