Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) Vehicle Software team develops software for autonomous robotics systems including the Fury unmanned fighter jet and Barracuda family of advanced effects. This team is responsible for the foundational vehicle software stack supporting vehicle control, networking, sensor integration, and telemetry across the full lifecycle from concept simulation to first flight to live operations to fleet management. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to build critical software that powers next-generation autonomous systems. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to navigate complex systems and established codebases. You'll work on data-intensive software solutions that directly impact military capabilities. Required qualifications include eligibility for a U.S. Top Secret security clearance, 3+ years of professional programming experience with languages such as Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript, and a strong engineering background (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics). You must have experience building software involving significant data processing and analysis, and the ability to quickly understand complex systems. Preferred qualifications include backgrounds in Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning; experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments; feature and algorithm development with behavior trees; software/hardware development for flight systems and safety-critical functionality; distributed communication networks and message standards; and knowledge of military systems and operational tactics.
