Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion. The Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) team develops software for autonomous robotics systems including the Fury unmanned fighter jet and Barracuda family of advanced effects.
You will join the Vehicle Software team as a Software Engineer specializing in machine vision for guidance systems on large air vehicles. This role focuses on implementing novel image processing algorithms from multiple image sources and sensors, combining conventional and state-of-the-art machine learning approaches. You will also develop sensor fusion algorithms integrating data from various sensor sources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Integrating and writing tests for camera calibration code
- Developing and refining real-time image processing and analysis algorithms
- Writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality production code in Python and C++
- Optimizing software for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Processing and evaluating images from live flight tests under various conditions
- Debugging and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Proposing and implementing system improvements
Required qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. 4+ years of production software development experience (C/C++ preferred). Direct experience with camera systems, calibration, and pose estimation required.
