Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, and computer vision. The Air Dominance & Strike team develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems, including Fury (unmanned fighter jet) and Barracuda (air-breathing cruise missile), powered by Lattice OS—an AI-powered operating system that transforms thousands of data streams into real-time 3D command and control. As a Mission Software Engineer focused on frontend development, you will design, build, and deploy real-time, map-based interfaces for displaying and interacting with sensor data and commanding physical assets. Your responsibilities include fetching and managing large streams of data while maintaining performant rendering in low-friction user experiences, building immersive image-viewing experiences in web-based platforms, and taking ownership of well-scoped projects with clear objectives. You will partner closely with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints. The role involves collaboration with specialist teams in Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering to solve complex autonomy challenges. Travel up to 30% of the time is required to build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world operational environments. Required qualifications include 3+ years of frontend development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React; a degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience); and proficiency in building data-intensive or map-based frontend applications. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance. The ideal candidate demonstrates innovative problem-solving approaches and a track record of delivering functional outcomes in complex technical environments.
