Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, and robotics. The Air Dominance & Strike team develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems, including Fury (unmanned fighter jet) and Barracuda (air-breathing cruise missile), alongside Lattice for Mission Autonomy—a software platform enabling coordinated autonomous operations across multiple robotic platforms.
You will join a backend software engineering team building the autonomy software stack that powers these systems. This includes computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications. You'll work closely with specialist teams in perception, motion planning, hardware, and test engineering to solve complex problems in autonomous flight and multi-agent coordination.
Required: 3+ years programming experience with languages like Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript. Strong background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. Experience building data-intensive software systems. Ability to navigate complex codebases and established systems. U.S. Top Secret security clearance eligibility required.
Preferred: Background in Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning. Experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments. Knowledge of behavior trees, flight systems, safety-critical software, distributed communication networks, or military operations.
This is a full-time role with competitive salary ($166k–$220k USD), equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Positions available in Costa Mesa, CA; Seattle, WA; and Washington, DC.
