Saronic Technologies is seeking a Mission Operations Specialist to serve as the critical interface between autonomous surface vessels (ASVs) and DoD customers. This role combines technical field support, mission planning, and customer relationship management for cutting-edge maritime defense platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
• On-site technical support during product integration, installation, commissioning, and operations at customer locations, troubleshooting complex issues with autonomous vessels and systems
• System integration and interoperability work, ensuring ASVs seamlessly integrate into customer infrastructure and operational environments
• Customer training and documentation development, including workshops on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Remote technical support via communication tools and remote access, with escalation protocols for complex issues
• Field testing and validation at partner locations, collecting performance data and providing feedback to engineering teams
• Mission planning and coordination with DoD stakeholders, developing comprehensive plans considering route optimization, environmental conditions, and risk mitigation
• ASV operations and real-time monitoring during missions, including vessel performance tracking, sensor data analysis, and contingency implementation
• Data analysis and mission reporting, generating insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
• Compliance and safety protocol implementation per DoD policies and industry standards
• Travel logistics coordination for frequent on-site visits
The role requires 50% travel domestically and internationally. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred), with minimum 3 years in field support or customer-facing technical roles with complex systems. Prior Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience is a plus. Physical requirements include ability to swim, tread water, lift 75 lbs., and spend extended periods on water. Valid driver's license required.
