Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to manage the execution and growth of customer accounts for the Tactical Recon & Strike team. This role bridges product, engineering, sales, and logistics to own customer relationships and deploy Anduril's advanced aerial drone systems (Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, Altius) in support of military missions.
Key responsibilities include orchestrating the deployment of Ghost-X and other flagship products, leading field operations and training end users on hardware and software systems, and ensuring high performance in forward-deployed environments. You will work directly with customers to understand their specific mission challenges and represent their needs back to Anduril's engineering teams to shape product development. The role requires establishing trust-based partnerships with customers, identifying future opportunities for Anduril's technology, and meeting commercial targets that drive growth.
You will collaborate across nearly every Anduril function—business development, engineering, product, logistics, finance, legal, contracting, and technical operations—to successfully deploy complex systems. This position is based in Costa Mesa, CA but requires extensive travel (up to 75%) nationwide and internationally to service and manage forward-deployed accounts.
Ideal candidates demonstrate a mission-first mindset, ownership mentality, and bias toward assuming responsibility. You should be comfortable navigating organizational hurdles, finding solutions to uniquely challenging problems, and staying deeply engaged with how customers interact with products to drive continuous improvement. Experience in defense, aerospace, military operations, or complex B2B customer success environments is valuable.
