Flex is a growth-stage fintech company transforming rent payments by enabling renters to pay throughout the month on flexible schedules. As a Mid-Market Account Manager, you will own and operate a high-volume book of business with property management companies, managing the full commercial relationship from retention through growth. You will be responsible for portfolio management and prioritization—owning multiple concurrent accounts and using engagement data and account health signals to allocate your time strategically rather than applying uniform cadence. You'll maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, identify at-risk accounts early, and escalate complex issues appropriately. On the relationship side, you'll establish and maintain connections with day-to-day and senior stakeholders, run efficient, tiered touchpoints (QBRs, check-ins) calibrated to account tier, and serve as the primary point of contact. Travel is selective and reserved for highest-opportunity or highest-risk accounts. Commercially, you'll execute negotiations efficiently across a large account count, identify and act on upsell/cross-sell opportunities using data-driven playbooks, and contribute to refining the playbooks and tooling as the mid-market segment matures. The role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week on-site expectations in New York, San Francisco, or Salt Lake City offices. Flex offers relocation assistance for candidates outside these areas. **Requirements:** - 2-4+ years in Account Management or Customer Success, ideally managing a book of business at volume (multiple concurrent accounts) - Experience owning renewals and standard commercial negotiations; comfortable operating within defined playbooks and pricing parameters - Strong organizational and prioritization skills with proven ability to triage large portfolios and direct time to highest-impact areas - Data-driven mindset: comfortable using account health, usage, and engagement signals to identify risk and opportunity - Strong communication skills with high emotional intelligence and ability to build trust quickly across high-volume relationships - Tech proficiency: Salesforce or comparable CRM experience preferred; customer success or health-scoring tooling experience a plus - Proven cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams - Self-starter mentality comfortable operating in maturing processes and willing to help build playbooks and tooling - Quick learner able to adapt and iterate swiftly in the PropTech/FinTech landscape; comfortable with ambiguity and test-and-learn mindset - Team-oriented with positive, collaborative approach and willingness to prioritize team success over individual recognition
