As a Mid-Level Software Engineer, you'll build reliable, scalable product experiences that help companies manage equity with confidence. You'll work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to turn complex equity workflows into clear, automated, user-friendly software. This role offers strong ownership of well-scoped projects while learning from senior peers.
The company is hiring across four specialized teams:
**Core Equity** — Owns the foundational logic powering Ledgy's equity engine. Manages transaction logic, data models, and core domain behavior ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance. Enables employees to sell vested shares seamlessly.
**Workflows & Automation** — Automates complex equity workflows and integrates with third-party services including trading exchanges. Helps company admins efficiently onboard/offboard employees and automate equity grants and terminations.
**Reporting** — Transforms core equity data into financial, operational, and compliance reports. Manages large, complex datasets ensuring accurate, performant, reliable reporting across jurisdictions and company structures.
**Tax** — Ensures taxes are correctly reflected throughout equity operations (exercising, selling, mobility, taxable events). Builds end-to-end product capabilities helping customers manage complex tax and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
You'll thrive with 3+ years of software engineering experience, comfort building production-quality features across the stack, and ability to learn complex domains. The role values clean, tested code, thoughtful collaboration, and ownership with early input on trade-offs.
Tech stack: TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, tRPC, Node.js, MongoDB, Temporal, GCP, Terraform Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions. Prior experience with this specific stack is not required.
Location: Hybrid in London (2 days/week in office) or fully remote across UK, Spain, Germany, Poland, and Romania.
