SimpleClosure is building infrastructure to streamline business dissolution and asset recovery. The company has raised over $20M and serves 7,000+ companies, helping them navigate legal, tax, operational, and administrative aspects of shutdown while maximizing stakeholder returns through an Asset Hub marketplace. The Asset Hub is a two-sided marketplace connecting companies winding down with buyers—including top AI labs, RL environment providers, and AI agent builders—who acquire proprietary assets like codebases, workspaces, datasets, domains, and talent. As a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer on the Asset Hub team, you'll own features end-to-end across the buyer portal and internal tooling. You'll design and build full-stack features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript on the frontend, with Python-based backend services and APIs. Key responsibilities include implementing clean, maintainable code; building and integrating backend services and third-party systems; replacing manual processes with scalable tooling; handling sensitive material with strong security and privacy practices; and collaborating with Product, Design, and leadership to translate requirements into technical solutions. You'll work in a small, dedicated pod shipping in short cycles in a fast-moving startup environment. The role requires 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a startup. Strong React and TypeScript skills are essential; Next.js, Python, and familiarity with relational/NoSQL databases are expected. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, own projects from concept through deployment, and have experience with AI-assisted development tools. Nice-to-have experience includes marketplace/B2B platforms, data-heavy products, and working with codebases or large datasets. The position is hybrid in Midtown Manhattan (2 days/week in office) with flexible arrangements. SimpleClosure offers competitive compensation, equity, comprehensive health benefits, unlimited PTO, two company-wide offsites annually, and 401(k) with immediate eligibility.
