Comfy is building the AI creation engine for visual professionals, with 4 million users and recent $30M funding at $500M valuation. This role focuses on release engineering and CI/CD systems for a fast-moving, AI-enabled team shipping multiple connected products across repositories and services.
You'll own the systems that keep code flowing from development to production: building CI/CD pipelines optimized for accelerated code throughput (including AI-generated code), orchestrating releases across multiple repositories and services, and ensuring continuous integration across teams. Key responsibilities include designing release processes that coordinate multi-service backend delivery, creating ephemeral test environments that spin up per PR for both humans and AI agents, integrating quality assurance into the delivery pipeline rather than treating it as a separate phase, and providing self-serve infrastructure for internal teams to test and generate with cutting-edge models.
This is not traditional infrastructure work—you won't manage production systems post-deployment. Instead, you'll build the delivery systems above infrastructure: CI, cross-repo orchestration, and ephemeral environments. The mandate is clear: as code throughput accelerates with AI-enabled development, the delivery system becomes the bottleneck. Your job is ensuring it never is.
Ideal candidates have production experience with Kubernetes and ArgoCD, have built CI/CD for complex multi-service systems that multiple teams depend on, care deeply about developer experience and reliability, and have thought about the systems needed to handle agentic coding's accelerated throughput. Bonus experience includes GPU compute provisioning, open-source contributions, and familiarity with ComfyUI.
Comfy is a small, intense team in San Francisco with roots in Stability AI and Google. The culture emphasizes low ego, high ownership, and meaningful work. Everyone is expected to be top-tier talent.
