Envoy is seeking a Member of Technical Staff (L3) for Infrastructure to architect and maintain a scalable, reliable cloud platform serving 16,000+ workplaces globally. The role focuses on designing cloud-based solutions, managing Kubernetes infrastructure at scale, provisioning AWS resources via Terraform, and collaborating with application teams on service deployment and best practices.
Key responsibilities include architecting cloud solutions that meet business needs, optimizing Kubernetes cluster resource usage and monitoring, managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform with automated provisioning and change management, developing tools and frameworks for application management, responding to incidents as part of a weekly on-call rotation, and contributing to a positive cross-functional work environment.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of cloud platform experience (AWS preferred), 3+ years with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code tools, strong Kubernetes design and maintenance expertise, mastery of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Argo CD), deep understanding of network architectures and distributed systems, proficiency in Python/Ruby/Go and bash, and experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus. Strong communication and technical leadership skills are essential.
Nice-to-have qualifications include startup environment experience, SOC2/ISO27001 compliance knowledge, and security engineering background. This is an on-site position requiring 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday) in the San Francisco office.
