Monk is an AI-native accounts receivable platform helping B2B companies accelerate cash collection. The company is rebuilding the broken AR stack—currently dominated by spreadsheets and legacy software—using AI, speed, and engineering craftsmanship. Monk already manages over $1B in outstanding receivables and is backed by leading investors with founders who have significant prior exits.
In this role, you will own full-stack outcomes: design and ship agentic workflows end-to-end, from database schema through API to UI. You'll work directly with customers, translating their feedback into shipped products without relying on product managers. A key focus is pioneering new interaction patterns for how finance teams collaborate with AI agents—establishing best practices in an emerging category.
You'll solve hard technical problems at the intersection of AI reliability and financial accuracy, where your work directly impacts customer cashflow. You'll move fast across product areas (web, backend, external connectors), setting and maintaining high standards for code quality and technical craft.
The ideal candidate has 6+ years shipping production full-stack products, deep TypeScript fluency (backend and frontend), and strong product judgment. You're comfortable with modern web infrastructure (Next.js, Vercel, Supabase or equivalent), operate as an owner who doesn't wait for specs, and have a track record of shipping high-quality work repeatedly. You're AI-native—using AI as a multiplier, not a novelty—and excited about building in person in Flatiron.
Bonus experience includes founder or founding engineer background, shipped fintech/payments products, or world-class domain expertise.
