Mercor is building the infrastructure layer between human expertise and frontier AI models. The company operates a platform where millions of domain experts train AI models, and is now bringing this infrastructure to enterprise customers through Mercor Enterprise—helping Fortune 500 companies capture how their best people work and translate that expertise into AI agents.
As a Member of Technical Staff on the Enterprise Platform team, you will own the design, build, and operation of the core platform services that power agent deployment and execution. This is a full-stack infrastructure and platform engineering role spanning enterprise-grade security, routing, isolated execution, and the intelligence plane that turns production runs into continuous improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and operate platform services: authentication/authorization, credential brokering, routing, sandboxing, and orchestration
- Define interfaces for Applied AI engineers building agents, ensuring the paved path is the easiest one
- Build event-driven backbone for idempotent ingestion at scale
- Own the deployment model across hosted, customer VPC, and multi-cloud environments
- Ensure tenant isolation by construction, preventing cross-tenant access or quota overages
- Optimize latency, throughput, and cost per run as volume grows
- Set architectural direction for platform components you own
- Partner closely with Applied AI engineers on production challenges from customer deployments
You'll work with Go, TypeScript, Postgres, Kubernetes, Harbor, and Terraform. The platform currently scales to thousands of agent runs per day and is still growing. This is one of the few places in production where the fundamental question of how enterprise agent platforms should be built is being answered with economically viable agents as the bar.
Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. The role requires in-person work five days per week at the San Francisco or NYC office.
