As a Staff Full-Stack Engineer (L5), you will be one of the most senior individual contributors on the team, driving high-impact product initiatives end-to-end. This is a delivery-focused role where you own the hardest technical challenges: designing enterprise-grade systems, writing production code across the full stack (backend services, APIs, data models, and frontend), and shipping reliable software at scale.
Key responsibilities include leading major product features from problem definition through deployment and iteration; designing and implementing systems that serve thousands of enterprises; creating clean abstractions that increase team velocity; owning quality, security, availability, and performance; driving technical decision-making within your team and influencing adjacent teams; responding to incidents and eliminating sources of toil; and mentoring senior and mid-level engineers.
You will partner closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers to turn ambiguous problems into shipped, reliable software. The role requires deep full-stack depth—fluency in both modern frontend and backend technologies with strong judgment about where problems are best solved. You'll have full ownership and architectural autonomy over high-impact features spanning frontend and backend systems.
Required qualifications include 12–15 years of software engineering experience shipping and operating production systems at scale; a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field; demonstrated ability to lead complex multi-quarter initiatives from inception to launch; strong system design skills in data modeling, API design, and building for scale/security/reliability; and proven ability to elevate teams through mentorship and technical leadership.
Desirable experience includes multi-tenant enterprise SaaS (SSO, RBAC, audit logging, SLAs), modern stacks (Kotlin, TypeScript, React, AWS, Kubernetes), platform/integration work, high-growth startup environments, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001), security-by-default infrastructure, and advanced networking patterns.
This is an on-site position requiring 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday) in the San Francisco HQ office.
