Enterpret is building a platform that transforms customer feedback into actionable intelligence for product teams. The company applies advanced NLP, serverless computing, and real-time analytics to help companies like Canva, Notion, Samsung, and Loom understand and act on customer voice. Backed by Kleiner Perkins and Sequoia Capital, Enterpret is solving complex infrastructure and ML challenges at scale.
As a Member of Technical Staff on the Core Product team, you will own the backend and infrastructure powering the customer feedback intelligence platform. Your responsibilities span the full stack: data ingestion, real-time analytics, ML/NLP pipeline reliability, and the operational backbone (observability, cost optimization, reliability) that keeps systems healthy in production.
Key areas of focus include:
• Building and scaling core backend systems and infrastructure, owning the journey from data ingestion through analytics
• Hardening ML and NLP infrastructure—pipelines, model-serving, data flows—to ensure reliability at customer scale
• Making critical infrastructure decisions around data models, event flows, and service boundaries with strong correctness guarantees
• Instrumenting systems for deep observability so failures surface early and production behavior becomes a learning opportunity
• Balancing speed, cost, and long-term system health through pragmatic, scalable trade-offs
• Partnering with Product, Design, and the founding team to translate ambiguous problems into clear infrastructure solutions
• Raising the bar through clean code, thorough design reviews, mentorship, and platform-level improvements
You bring 6–8 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of building and shipping reliable production systems. Critically, you have 3+ years at a single organization where you built infrastructure from scratch and owned complex projects end-to-end. You have deep expertise in infrastructure—data pipelines, event-driven/microservices architectures, and the operational backbone that keeps them healthy. You're hands-on in at least one of Golang, serverless computing, SQL/NoSQL, ElasticSearch, or GraphQL, with bonus experience in ML/NLP infrastructure (pipelines, model-serving, feature stores).
You think systemically about data models, boundaries, and failure modes. You know when to move fast and when to slow down. You have a track record of mentoring and collaborating, raising the bar through code reviews and cross-functional partnership. You're comfortable operating in ambiguity, making sound decisions with incomplete information, and you bias toward action and continuous learning.
