DevRev is building Computer, an AI teammate that unifies data sources, tools, and workflows into a single AI-ready platform. The company has raised $150M+ from Khosla Ventures and Mayfield and serves global enterprises.
As a Forward Deployment Architect on the Applied AI Engineering team, you will own the end-to-end design and delivery of AI-driven business transformation projects. You'll serve as a hands-on senior technical architect, working 80% directly with customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and deploy intelligent AI agents using the DevRev platform to solve customer problems
- Integrate AI agents with external systems (CRMs, APIs, databases) for seamless workflow automation
- Translate business requirements into technical architectural solutions during pre-sales scoping
- Own detailed technical designs and drive execution, including hands-on coding for proofs-of-concept and custom integrations
- Optimize agent performance through prompt tuning, logic refinement, and configuration adjustments
- Partner with customers to understand domain-specific needs and translate them into agent specifications
- Lead rapid prototyping, live demos, and iterative refinement based on customer feedback
- Define project plans, align internal teams, and ensure timely delivery of deployments
- Act as a trusted technical advisor on AI agent architecture, performance, and scalability
- Serve as the connective tissue between pre-sales, customer success, engineering, and product teams
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in software development, AI/ML engineering, or technical consulting (customer-facing experience is a plus)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python, with solid understanding of data structures and algorithms (Go is nice-to-have)
- Applied AI knowledge including large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG frameworks, function calling, and building evals for agentic AI solutions
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers, observability)
- Comfortable integrating systems via APIs, webhooks, and event/data pipelines
- Data-driven mindset with ability to use A/B testing, telemetry, and metrics to guide decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to engineers and business stakeholders
- Customer empathy with bias for action and focus on solving customer problems
- Advanced degrees or certifications in AI/architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe) are a plus
