Base is a next-generation power company deploying distributed battery networks to transform the centralized electrical grid into a resilient, abundant system. The Member Experience, Strategy and Operations role is a cross-functional position responsible for ensuring members receive excellent service across onboarding, billing, support, app experience, and incident response. You will identify and execute high-impact systemic improvements to member experience. This involves selecting projects based on data and member feedback across product, communications, retention, payments, fraud prevention, and frontline support operations. You'll diagnose root causes of recurring pain points and implement solutions—whether process changes, tooling updates, clearer messaging, or engineering collaboration. Key responsibilities include building analysis, dashboards, and forecasts independently; translating complex problems into clear, actionable plans for members, teammates, and leadership; leading cross-functional initiatives from conception through launch while maintaining timelines and priorities; establishing and scaling team systems and processes; and driving metrics that matter to both member satisfaction and operational efficiency. This is a startup environment where priorities shift rapidly and your role may expand based on business needs. You'll work in-person at the Austin office as part of an all-in team committed to rebuilding the electrical grid. REQUIREMENTS: - Track record of owning results in fast-moving environments with undefined scope. Relevant backgrounds include operations, consulting, strategy, support, product, or analytics. - Strong analytical skills: comfortable with spreadsheets or SQL; ability to interpret data for decision-making. - Bias toward efficiency and directness; ability to find the shortest path to solutions. - Clear, concise written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex issues and align cross-functional partners and leadership. - Quick learning ability; capacity to master new, technical domains and drive impact within weeks. - Proactive, ownership-oriented mindset: self-starting, gap-closing, leading-indicator identification, and scope definition. - Genuine care for members and attention to detail.
