ICEYE is seeking a Mechanical R&D Test Lead to lead the mechanical Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) team for the company's next-generation optical spacecraft. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, reporting to the Engineering Manager of Optical Systems. You will own the end-to-end mechanical AIT process, organizing team work and taking responsibility for how hardware is qualified and accepted for launch. Key responsibilities include: leading mechanical AIT team operations; overseeing qualification and acceptance vibration test campaigns for satellites and subsystems; designing, building, and maintaining Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE); leading flight model integration for new spacecraft; and representing testing findings back to design engineering groups to drive design improvements. The ideal candidate has either proven people leadership experience or a senior technical background with genuine interest in transitioning into people management. You must have hands-on experience with mechanical AIT, test campaigns, and vibration testing of hardware. Experience designing MGSE for satellite testing is essential. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, organizing work across multiple stakeholders, and operating under pressure during intense test campaign periods. Aerospace or satellite hardware development experience is highly valued, as is hands-on satellite assembly experience and familiarity with finite element analysis tools. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Warsaw, Poland, subject to applicable security screening.
