Salary: USD 80,000 - 120,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies (Voyager Lunar Systems, formerly Astrobotic Technology) is a space, defense, and national security technology company developing spacecraft, rovers, and lunar infrastructure. This role supports the mechanical integration and validation of complex systems through planning, execution, and documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support design reviews from Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Test (DFT) perspectives
- Collaborate with Systems and Design Engineers on test plan development
- Write detailed integration and test procedures
- Design ground support equipment, fixtures, and tooling for integration and test operations
- Coordinate resources, scheduling, supplies, and tool calibration verification
- Conduct Integration and Test Readiness Reviews
- Execute integration and test procedures on spacecraft and rover components
- Operate test facilities including Shaker Tables and Thermal Vacuum Chambers
- Support off-site testing at third-party facilities
- Process test data and generate test reports
- Provide labor and cost estimates for integration and test work
- Collaborate with analytical and design engineers to interpret test results
- Work cross-functionally with propulsion, thermal, mechanisms, electrical, and structural teams
Required qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; 5+ years integrating or testing complex electro-mechanical and/or fluid systems; technical writing and documentation experience; CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred); lifecycle management tools; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments.
Desired qualifications include M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, instrumentation and data acquisition experience, environmental testing experience (shock, vibration, thermal vacuum, acoustic), aerospace/spacecraft industry background, cleanroom experience, and hands-on shop skills.
