CesiumAstro is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead and scale the mechanical engineering organization. This role combines people leadership with technical direction across multiple aerospace and space programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and develop a high-performing mechanical engineering team
- Establish and implement robust engineering processes and best practices
- Provide both people management and senior technical authority
- Lead complex mechanical system and hardware development across the full product lifecycle, from concept through in-orbit support
- Drive strategic engineering initiatives that support business growth
- Influence product roadmap decisions as a key member of the engineering leadership team
- Ensure successful execution of program deliverables for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms
- Mentor and develop engineering talent within the organization
