Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems, AI, and computer vision. The Maneuver Dominance team develops aerial robotic systems designed to operate in large coordinated teams alongside ground forces.
You will own the physical design of payload carriage and release systems for novel unmanned rotorcraft platforms. This is a hands-on role combining design, analysis, prototyping, and testing. You'll work across mechanical, electrical, and actuation disciplines to deliver reliable, cost-effective systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading payload carriage and release system design from concept through implementation
- Defining requirements, proposing solutions, and establishing verification methodologies in collaboration with UK and US partner organizations
- Cross-functional partnership with electrical and actuation teams to ensure system integration
- Conducting design reviews, structural analysis, prototype builds, and hardware testing
- Contributing to team processes, tools, and standards
- Supporting critical demonstrations and development tests at test sites and vendor facilities
You bring 5+ years of professional aerospace engineering experience with a track record of technical excellence, design creativity, and successful product delivery. You're proficient in NX/Teamcenter CAD software with strength in rapid concepting and novel design iteration. You understand composite and metallic materials, load paths, structural design, analysis, testing, and fabrication. You're an excellent communicator comfortable with technical reporting and presentations. You're eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
Preferred experience includes payload carriage/release system design, systems integration during airframe assembly, and demonstrated passion for aviation and unmanned systems.
