Salary: USD 125,000 - 145,000 / annual

Sereact is building AI-driven robotics systems that enable automation in industrial settings like warehouses and factories. We're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the full lifecycle of mechanical design for our robot systems—from concept through fabrication and deployment. In this role, you'll design innovative mechanical systems and components that integrate seamlessly with our electrical and software platforms. You'll create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings, conduct mechanical simulations and FEA analysis to validate performance, and build and test prototypes hands-on in our lab and shop environment. Your designs will be optimized for cost, manufacturability, and real-world performance in industrial settings. Key responsibilities include: - Designing mechanical systems and components for AI-driven robots - Conducting site visits to gather requirements and take measurements - Creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and fabrication documentation - Performing mechanical simulations and performance testing - Building, testing, and iterating on prototypes with hands-on troubleshooting - Collaborating with electrical and software engineering teams on system integration - Sourcing components and coordinating with vendors on fabrication, quality, and lead times - Traveling approximately 25% to support field installations and requirements gathering You'll need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field, plus 3+ years of mechanical design experience, ideally in robotics or automation. Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) is essential. Experience with FEA/simulation tools, industrial design, or special purpose machinery is a plus. You should be comfortable working hands-on in lab and shop environments and have strong knowledge of material properties, manufacturing methods, and system integration.
