Quince is a manufacturer-to-consumer (M2C) brand delivering high-quality essentials at accessible prices through direct relationships with manufacturing partners. The company operates across apparel, accessories, home goods, and more, using proprietary technology and data-driven operations to scale sustainably.
As Materials Sourcing Manager for Wool, you will lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for wool materials across Quince's product portfolio. Your core responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive wool procurement strategy that balances cost, quality, and sustainability; building and maintaining a global network of wool suppliers including tanneries, rawhide processors, and specialty producers; and partnering with Product Development and Merchandising to curate a central wool materials library optimized for quality, consistency, speed to market, and cross-category use.
You will analyze and monitor global wool market dynamics—price trends, supply-demand shifts, sustainability regulations, and emerging risks—to inform procurement strategies and minimize volatility. You'll establish long-term supplier partnerships with favorable negotiated terms, collaborate across sourcing, product development, quality assurance, and merchandising teams, and identify cost-saving and process-efficiency opportunities throughout the wool value chain.
Additional responsibilities include creating and implementing risk mitigation strategies (multi-sourcing, forward purchasing, responsible sourcing compliance), leading supplier performance management to ensure quality and ethical/environmental standards, and establishing wool quality performance standards that enable consistent benchmarking and tie material specs to product durability and customer experience. You will provide regular reporting on procurement performance, cost savings, and market conditions.
Quince's culture emphasizes questioning conventional thinking, using data to uncover opportunities, and moving quickly. Responsibility is not determined by tenure or seniority—every team member can drive the business and shape trajectory.
