Salary: USD 86,000 - 112,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Material Planner to join its Demand & Supply Planning team in Atlanta. This role is responsible for managing material flow across the entire value chain—from raw materials through finished goods—for cutting-edge defense hardware including static equipment, mobile ground equipment, and flight vehicles.
You will own material planning for specific assemblies and product lines, serving as the primary signal to Purchasing and Manufacturing on what and when to buy or build. Key responsibilities include developing and managing production plans in coordination with Purchasing to ensure component availability; providing visibility on part shortages and clear-to-build status; forecasting component requirements for the Supply Chain team; prioritizing supply allocations across cross-functional teams; coordinating with Engineering on material coverage for component changes; managing consumables inventory; and developing processes within the MRP system and associated master data.
This is a fast-paced role in a resource-limited environment where you'll demonstrate holistic ownership of operational challenges and creative problem-solving. You'll work across supply chain, logistics, engineering, and material planning functions with a bias toward speed and accuracy.
Required: 3+ years in fast-paced manufacturing (supply chain or production role) with complex mechanical/electrical assemblies; ERP experience (NetSuite or similar); willingness to travel 15-20%; eligibility for U.S. Top Secret security clearance; ability to relocate to Atlanta.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in technical field (mechanical/aerospace/manufacturing/electrical engineering, supply chain, or business with technical focus); Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma experience; demonstrated end-to-end value chain ownership; willingness to take on substantial cross-functional responsibility.
