Salary: USD 99,000 - 130,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Material Planner to join the Demand & Supply Planning team. This role is responsible for material flow across the entire value chain—from raw materials through finished goods shipped to customers—supporting the rapid iteration and production of cutting-edge defense hardware including static equipment, mobile ground equipment, and flight vehicles.
You will own material planning for specific assemblies and product lines, serving as the primary signal to Purchasing and Manufacturing on what and when to buy or build. Working within the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, you will forecast supply, manage inventory levels, and ensure Anduril meets its hardware requirements under stringent quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage production plans in coordination with Purchasing to ensure component availability and align production scheduling with supply.
- Provide visibility on part shortages to purchasing and production teams, identifying clear-to-build constraints.
- Generate forecasts to the Supply Chain team for components required in production.
- Partner cross-functionally to prioritize supply allocations when constraints exist.
- Work with Engineering to provide visibility into material coverage when component changes occur.
- Manage consumables inventory to support Production needs.
- Develop and maintain processes for working within MRP systems and associated master data.
This is a fast-paced, resource-limited environment where you will demonstrate holistic ownership of operational challenges, creative problem-solving, and flexibility to support wherever needed to ensure products are built and shipped on time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in a supply chain or production role where complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies were built.
- Prior knowledge of Netsuite or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Ability to travel up to 15–20%.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local; role requires onsite presence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (mechanical/aerospace/manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, supply chain, or business with a technical minor or concentration).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma principles in practice.
- Demonstrated ability to own a complete value chain from start to finish, coordinating among multiple internal and external parties to achieve on-time deliveries under stringent quality standards.
- Willingness to take on substantial responsibility across supply chain, logistics, engineering, and material planning functions with a bias toward speed and accuracy.
