Built is an AI-powered platform transforming real estate finance, development, and management. The company powers over 350 lenders, 80,000+ borrowers and owners, and manages $300 billion in active projects. Built's Marketplace connects capital providers with essential project services—inspection firms, appraisers, environmental consultants, title providers, materials suppliers, and specialty vendors—creating an embedded procurement layer within the platform. This role builds Built's supply-side partnership function from the ground up. Currently, vendor relationships have grown inbound through lender referrals rather than deliberate outreach. This position changes that by executing an outbound partnership strategy, designing commercial frameworks, and closing deals directly. Core responsibilities include designing the end-to-end partner lifecycle (sourcing, qualification, contracting, onboarding, performance management, renewal); defining partner tiers, SLAs, and quality standards; and creating operational infrastructure to scale the vendor network without linear headcount growth. You will source and negotiate partnerships with inspection firms, appraisal companies, title/closing providers, environmental consultants, and other diligence vendors. You'll run systematic outbound programs across existing vendors, identify service category expansion opportunities, and use structured frameworks to prioritize which categories benefit from negotiated partnerships versus self-service onboarding. Cross-functional work includes partnering with Legal and Compliance on partnership agreements and vendor qualification criteria appropriate to financial services, and collaborating with Product and Engineering to define platform capabilities needed for a scaled vendor network (partner APIs, marketplace UX, order management). The role offers growth into demand-side and channel partnerships (referral, reseller, co-sell relationships) and data/technology partnerships (third-party integrations) as the supply-side program matures.
