TRM Labs is seeking a Marketing Technology Engineer to own the automation and AI layer of the marketing operations stack. This is a technical role embedded within the marketing function, requiring both engineering rigor and marketing domain expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end ownership of marketing's agent fleet: provisioning, output verification, monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Design and build agentic processes and automations that eliminate manual work from the marketing team
- Instrument systems to make usage, output, and value visible to leadership; enable agents to improve from feedback
- Consolidate core marketing concept definitions (territory, lead scoring, pipeline stages, targets) across tools and agents to prevent silent disagreements
- Own MarTech stack configuration, administration, and integration; build extensibility for the campaign execution team
Required qualifications:
- Prior marketing or marketing operations experience (required, not preferred). Must understand funnel logic, attribution, lead scoring, send cadence, deliverability, list hygiene, and consent rules
- Hands-on experience operating unattended systems (pipelines, integrations, agents) that broke and taught you to verify output rather than trust status indicators
- Track record building production automation in GTM functions using tools like Clay, Zapier, Workato, or n8n, where others depended on your work
- Evidence of progression from no-code automation to code: version control, code review, CI, testing, shared repository deployment
- Technical baseline: SQL and Python proficiency, solid REST API fundamentals, secrets management, data warehouse fluency (BigQuery), hands-on HubSpot and Salesforce administration
Nice-to-have skills include direct Claude or n8n experience, multi-step enrichment waterfall building, observability/data-quality practices, and experience supporting multiple product lines.
