Rho is a modern banking platform for startups and growth-stage companies, offering account opening, card issuance, expense management, bill pay, and financial close in a single integrated platform. You will own the data and systems layer for Rho's marketing team, currently fragmented across a dozen platforms with no unified data model. Your core mission: define what marketing measures, consolidate all sources into Snowflake as modeled data, and build reliable reporting for marketing leadership, executives, and the board. This is a hands-on technical role working directly in Snowflake and dbt alongside the data engineering team—not building parallel stacks in Salesforce, HubSpot, or spreadsheets. Data engineering owns platform and pipelines; RevOps owns CRM and sales systems; you own marketing metric definitions, dbt models, and the activation layer. Key responsibilities include: defining the marketing metrics layer (grain, definitions, join paths from every source to funded outcomes); modeling all sources in Snowflake (paid social, web analytics, search console, organic social, affiliate/referral, call platform, CRM, AI search visibility); building attribution that reconciles ad platforms, CRM, and call platform data; shipping recurring reporting (weekly channel performance, cost per funded customer, CAC and payback by channel/cohort); owning the activation layer via reverse ETL to lifecycle, ads, and sales tools; managing marketing systems hygiene (form capture, UTM taxonomy, data contracts, lead routing, CRM sync with RevOps); ensuring PII handling by design; instrumenting programs at launch; and documenting/monitoring everything so issues surface on dashboards, not in board meetings. Required: fluent SQL with hands-on dbt model ownership in a real warehouse; proven experience owning marketing or GTM data where numbers mattered financially, defending CAC and attribution figures to skeptical executives; ability to reconcile conflicting numbers across ad platforms, CRM, and warehouse; systems experience beyond analysis (forms, routing, CRM sync, reverse ETL, taxonomy); metric definition ownership; judgment on PII and compliance in regulated financial services; comfort as the only person in your function, working cross-functionally without direct authority. Nice-to-have: fintech/banking or other regulated environment experience; Snowflake, dbt, Hightouch, Salesforce, HubSpot expertise; measurement for AI search and answer engine visibility.
