Pylon is an agentic support platform for B2B companies, enabling human-agent collaboration on customer work across all channels. As a Series B company, Pylon is building out its Revenue Operations function and seeking a dedicated Marketing Operations Lead to own the marketing technology engine.
In this role, you will be the sole owner of marketing operations, reporting to the Head of Revenue Operations and working alongside Sales Ops and CS Ops. You'll architect and manage the entire martech stack—including Marketo (a major current implementation), Salesforce, Customer.io, Unify, UserGems, Sequel, Hightouch, Clay, Navattic, and Hex—ensuring all systems are integrated, clean, and trusted.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the Marketo implementation end-to-end: architecting programs, managing the Salesforce sync, and migrating top-of-funnel and nurture motions onto the platform.
- Designing and maintaining campaign hierarchy in Salesforce so all webinars, paid campaigns, events, and sponsorships roll up correctly into channel and pipeline reporting.
- Building lead scoring, lead-to-account matching, and routing logic with Sales Ops to ensure leads reach the right rep quickly, including SDR assignment, account continuity, recycling, and closed-lost workflows.
- Establishing and maintaining lead source, channel taxonomy, and attribution models so the team trusts what's driving pipeline.
- Managing Google Tag Manager, ad-platform APIs, and paid audiences; building attribution models using tools like Hockeystack and Bizible.
- Running the full MQL-to-S1-to-S2 funnel, including event and webinar operations, registration, enrichment, and handoff to inbound SDRs.
- Ensuring email deliverability across all marketing sends: domain health, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, list hygiene, and compliance.
- Maintaining data privacy and consent compliance (GDPR, CCPA) across all marketing systems.
- Leveraging AI and automation to eliminate manual, error-prone steps in enrichment, data cleanup, routing, and reporting.
- Building trusted reporting in partnership with RevOps and Data, including self-serve Hex dashboards for MQL/S1/S2 pacing.
- Aligning with Sales Ops and CS Ops on shared funnel definitions, handoffs, SLAs, and managing marketing ops budget.
Success means the funnel is measured cleanly end-to-end with accurate MQL and opportunity tracking, conversion rates improve at every stage through tighter scoring and data quality, and marketing's contribution to pipeline is clear and defensible.
You must have deep, hands-on Marketo expertise (forms, lists, program architecture, scoring, nurture, integrations) and 5–7 years in Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations in B2B SaaS. Salesforce admin experience is required, including the Campaign object, hierarchies, and reporting. You should have a proven track record designing lead scoring and routing logic, be fluent with AI tools, think systemically, and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. You'll operate autonomously, managing a live request queue while shipping a multi-month platform project. The role is in-office in San Francisco; relocation willingness is expected.
