XDOF builds data and operational infrastructure for the next generation of robotics and AI, serving frontier labs and the robotics ecosystem with scalable data collection, software, hardware, and operations. You will be XDOF's founding Marketing Lead, owning how the company shows up to customers, partners, and future teammates. This is a full-spectrum marketing role with significant strategic and operational scope. Key responsibilities: - Own marketing end-to-end: messaging, positioning, content, website, announcements, thought leadership, and the ongoing narrative about XDOF and the robotics industry. Translate a technical, nuanced business into stories that resonate with diverse audiences. - Run events and field presence: plan and execute XDOF's presence at industry conferences and curated gatherings. - Reach key audiences deliberately: develop distinct messaging and engagement strategies for customers, consortium and data partners, and prospective hires while maintaining one coherent XDOF narrative. - Build the foundation: establish tools, cadences, and early processes for a growing marketing function, laying groundwork for the team that follows. This is a founding role with direct line to founders, real ownership, and the mandate to build marketing your way. You'll have a rare vantage point on the future of physical AI, sitting between frontier labs and the physical world. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: - Strong communications background: write clearly and persuasively, find the through-line in complex stories, and have owned messaging and content for a company or brand before. - Comfort with technical and B2B subject matter: ability to get fluent fast in robotics and AI, and translate between deeply technical people and the outside world. - Real events experience: planned and run events, managed logistics, and know how to turn conferences or gatherings into pipeline and relationships. - Strategic mindset: don't just execute briefs; have opinions about positioning, audience, and timing, and can make the case for them. - Range across audiences: shift register between frontier AI labs, large industrial partners, and candidates without losing the thread. - Builder's temperament: self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, energized by being early, and prefer defining the function to inheriting one. Nice to have: experience in AI, robotics, deep tech, data, or enterprise/B2B marketing; startup or early-stage experience as a first or early marketing hire; existing network in AI or robotics ecosystem; familiarity with bringing genuinely new offerings to market.
