Anthropic is seeking a Marketing Analytics Lead to own the company's marketing measurement framework. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will build and maintain systems that connect marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, and product usage—creating a single source of truth that marketers and executives rely on for decision-making.
You will own the complete measurement framework end-to-end: defining metrics, building data models, developing dashboards, and generating insights. While data science and data engineering teams will support you, you'll drive the core analytical work yourself. You'll partner closely with field marketing, partner marketing, campaign marketing, finance, sales strategy, sales development, and technical teams to align on definitions and maintain organizational alignment on funnel metrics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the marketing measurement framework connecting activity to pipeline, revenue, and product usage
- Setting direction for the framework and extending coverage to new programs
- Defining marketing metrics clearly and securing cross-functional agreement on definitions
- Building and maintaining data models powering marketing reporting
- Developing dashboards used in weekly reviews by marketers and executives
- Teaching stakeholders how metrics work and evolve
- Leading adoption so marketing and executive teams use the framework as shared truth
- Partnering with finance, sales strategy, and sales development to connect marketing measurement to broader revenue
- Discovering and sharing insights that drive strategic recommendations
- Writing analytical SQL on large datasets to analyze funnel performance and attribution
- Tracking framework gaps and data quality issues, working with data engineering to resolve them
- Presenting findings to leadership in clear, decision-ready formats
Anthropics's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The company is a growing team of researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working to build beneficial AI systems.
Minimum qualifications:
- Deep experience with marketing analytics, including lead funnels, attribution to enterprise pipeline, and product usage measurement
- Proven ability to design metrics from scratch and understand what makes metrics trusted and useful
- Confident SQL writing on large datasets
- Experience building data models in tools like dbt and dashboards used daily by many people
- Comfort setting direction independently without waiting for handed-down plans
- Ability to turn vague questions into clear, measurable definitions
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to align teams on definitions proactively
- Enjoyment of teaching others about metrics and building data fluency in non-technical audiences
- Track record of completing work end-to-end, from initial definition through adopted dashboard
- Genuine excitement about Anthropic's mission to develop safe and beneficial AI
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building measurement for both enterprise sales-led and product-led growth motions
- Familiarity with marketing attribution models and their practical tradeoffs
- Experience presenting metrics and insights directly to executives and shaping leadership performance reviews
- Background in data science, analytics engineering, or marketing operations
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation data (Salesforce and related tools)
- Experience establishing a measurement practice from scratch
- Understanding of how finance and sales strategy teams approach pipeline and forecasting
Education requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a field relevant to the role.
