Salary: USD 150,000 - 160,000 / annual

IEX is seeking a Market Operations Specialist to join its Options Market Operations team. This hands-on role involves operating and supporting the IEX Options exchange while working closely with member firms and internal Product, Technology, Regulatory, and Business teams. Key responsibilities include executing and continuously improving daily market operations procedures for the IEX Options exchange, developing deep expertise in IEX systems, market functionality, and order types, and supporting member testing and connectivity in the IEX test environment. You will analyze trading and operational data to investigate client issues, identify risks, and improve processes. The role involves building and maintaining automation tools and scripts to enhance desk efficiency and scalability, reviewing and processing member requests including Obvious Error reviews and other time-sensitive trading issues. You will partner closely with Technology Operations, Product Management, Business Development, Business Analytics, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Regulation teams. Additional responsibilities include participating in industry testing, product initiatives, and business-development efforts as IEX grows its options business, while helping strengthen the team's operating procedures, documentation, and risk controls. Required background includes 5+ years of market operations, trading operations, or related experience at an options market maker, exchange, broker-dealer, or electronic trading firm. You must have knowledge of U.S. options market structure, electronic trading, and trading systems, be comfortable working with complex data sets, and have an interest in developing Python and automation skills or existing experience. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment in dynamic environments, and the ability to learn new systems quickly are essential. You must be willing and able to support a flexible schedule and on-call environment. Nice-to-have qualifications include Python or other scripting experience, familiarity with Git or version-control systems, experience analyzing large trading or operational data sets, knowledge of options order types and exchange technology, and prior experience supporting member firms or exchange operations.
