Alan is a healthtech company building the new standard in prevention insurance, integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a single user experience. The company serves 1M+ members across 40K+ partner companies and has reached €800M+ in ARR.
As a Market Builder for the Belgian market, you will sit at the junction between Alan's core product capabilities and market-specific deal requirements. You'll work directly with engineers on your market team to turn product capabilities into enterprise wins.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coverage Strategy: Lead decisions on enterprise health plan coverage requests—determining whether to build new capabilities, adapt existing features, handle through operations, or reframe client needs. Coverage is the #1 driver of enterprise deal value and pricing.
- Product Integrity: Act as guardian of the core product, holding well-reasoned positions under commercial pressure to prevent unnecessary complexity and maintain long-term product coherence.
- Deal Execution: Coordinate builds with your market team's engineers and bring in capability teams when needed to ship solutions on time.
- AI Automation: Document your assessments and progressively encode decision logic into AI agents that handle routine cases while you stay in the loop for oversight and refinement.
- Market Expansion: As you automate routine coverage decisions, expand into other deal blockers and scout new growth opportunities with Pre-Sales.
You'll work with Sales, Pre-Sales, market operations experts, and cross-functional product and engineering teams. Success after 6 months means making independent build/operate/reframe decisions, launching an AI-powered assessment layer for simple cases, preventing duplicate guarantees without justification, becoming a market expert, and ramping on a second product area.
This role offers rare exposure to both technical depth and direct business impact—a fast track to developing both product expertise and stakeholder management skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years in product-related roles (Product Manager, Product Ops, Solutions Engineer/Architect, Founder, or equivalent)
- Ideally experience with complex B2B or enterprise deals
- Deep understanding of how systems work: technical, operational, and business dimensions
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and hold reasoned positions under commercial pressure
- Structured, fact-based decision-making and clear written communication
- Track record of cross-team execution and meeting deadlines
- Curiosity about AI with hands-on experience automating your own work
- Fluency in English and French or Dutch
- Plus: Health insurance or employee benefits experience
- Must be legally eligible to work from Belgium
