Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join the Roadrunner team at Arsenal-1, a hyperscale manufacturing facility near Columbus, Ohio. Roadrunner is a cutting-edge VTOL counter-UAS interceptor designed for autonomous air defense operations.
In this role, you will design and develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and automated test systems for aircraft components and systems. You'll validate and deploy test systems on the production line, conduct testing on aircraft systems and components, and document results to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include analyzing test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, performing root cause analysis on discrepancies or failures, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. You'll identify process improvements in testing methodologies and equipment, maintain thorough documentation of test procedures and regulatory compliance, and prepare test reports for stakeholders.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to support troubleshooting and failure analysis, provide technical support and training to production personnel on test equipment and procedures, and contribute to enhancing testing efficiency and reliability across the manufacturing operation.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, plus 3+ years of production test engineering experience preferably in aerospace. You must demonstrate strong understanding of testing methodologies in aerospace manufacturing, world-class attention to detail, and mission assurance dedication. U.S. citizenship is required, and the role involves flexibility for extended hours and regular travel between locations.
