Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join the Drones team, working on advanced autonomous systems including Bolt, Anvil, and Ghost drones. In this role, you will own test activities across the manufacturing value stream, from component-level validation to system-level acceptance testing, ensuring products meet stringent military standards and production throughput requirements.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and improving test capabilities and automation systems, developing clear test work instructions and technician training materials, performing hands-on troubleshooting of complex electrical issues, and conducting root cause analysis on product failures. You will analyze test data to identify defects and improvement opportunities, collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on customer returns and failure analysis, and contribute feedback to early-stage test design for new products.
You will also optimize test strategies for efficiency without compromising quality, maintain and calibrate test equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong technical expertise in electronics testing, PCBA standards, and familiarity with test execution systems, MES, and PLM platforms.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of manufacturing test and product sustainment experience, proficiency with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS, and hands-on knowledge of electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.). You must have strong root cause analysis skills and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of experience, Python/MATLAB proficiency, test automation expertise, knowledge of computer hardware communication protocols, and ESS-related testing experience.
