Echodyne is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Manager to lead a team of test engineers and technicians in designing and developing manufacturing test solutions for solid-state radar systems. The role focuses on ensuring all radars meet quality standards and design specifications through comprehensive test coverage and process optimization.
Key responsibilities include managing a staff of test engineers and technicians supporting production test system development; collaborating with design, systems, and software engineering teams to define sub-system and system-level test coverage; designing, developing, and releasing new manufacturing test processes and systems (software, hardware modules, and data infrastructure); working with third-party test integration companies; generating Design-for-Test (DFT) guidelines to influence radar designs; and coordinating with design and supplier quality engineering on RF and high-speed digital PCBA testing across supplier and internal locations.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years leading test engineering teams in electronics manufacturing, 5+ years designing and fabricating custom test systems, and a BS/MS in electrical engineering or related discipline. Required expertise includes PCBA and PCB fabrication processes for RF/high-speed digital boards (tolerances, micro-vias, DFM methodologies), contract manufacturer management for PCBA testing, statistical data analysis for process characterization, and ability to learn advanced RF microwave technology. Radar and RF microwave measurement instrument experience is preferred. Additional desired qualifications include proficiency with SolidWorks, Altium, or similar CAD tools; radar testing methods experience; and Manufacturing Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
