Salary: USD 113,000 - 149,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Security Operations Manager to lead daily security operations at a large-scale manufacturing facility near Columbus, OH. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Manufacturing Security, you will oversee comprehensive security strategies for a high-production industrial site, managing security personnel, systems, and incident response protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
• Directly manage and supervise daily security operations, leading and developing a team of security specialists, supervisors, and contracted guard forces
• Oversee immediate response to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies; conduct preliminary investigations and implement refined incident response protocols
• Ensure effective operation and monitoring of physical security technologies including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and alarm systems in coordination with the on-premise Security Operations Center
• Develop, implement, and enforce physical security policies, procedures, and post orders aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Implement and enforce robust access control procedures for personnel, vehicles, and materials; oversee parking management and traffic/pedestrian flow protocols
• Manage performance of internal security staff and contracted guard forces, including scheduling, training verification, performance evaluations, and contractual compliance
• Support implementation and enforcement of security protocols for transportation of sensitive materials and components to ensure supply chain integrity
• Work closely with Strategic Security Services team and on-premise SOC personnel to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing-specific security monitoring and threat intelligence
• Ensure day-to-day adherence to federal, state, and local security regulations, industry best practices, and internal policies; support regular security audits and inspections
• Lead incident response, investigations, and after-action reviews for security events and policy violations
• Coordinate closely with site leadership, operations management, Facilities, HR, EHS, and other departments to address security concerns and integrate security into operational workflows
• Assist in managing operational security resources including equipment, supplies, and personnel for cost-efficient coverage
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field (ASIS certifications strongly preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in physical security management with significant focus on large-scale manufacturing, industrial, or complex operational environments
• Proven experience managing and leading security teams with direct supervision of security officers and/or contracted guard forces
• Hands-on experience with operation and monitoring of security technologies such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems
• Demonstrated experience in incident response, investigation, and reporting within an operational context
• Strong understanding of physical security principles and best practices relevant to industrial facilities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with ability to effectively direct and influence senior business leaders and technical partners
• Proven ability to apply critical thinking and sound judgment to assess risk, analyze complex situations, and make timely decisions in fast-paced environments
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting operational demands
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call support for critical incidents
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
Preferred qualifications include experience in defense manufacturing or related high-security industries, industry-recognized professional certifications (ASIS CPP, PSP), knowledge of emergency preparedness and lean manufacturing principles, and strong regional network with local law enforcement and emergency management in the McHenry, MS and Southeast corridor.
