Voyager Technologies, a space, defense, and national security technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead manufacturing operations through a critical transition from production to development-focused programs supporting DoD propulsion systems. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will own daily manufacturing and test operations while adapting processes, tooling, and team capabilities to support early-stage hardware builds, prototype fabrication, and development test articles.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day manufacturing and test operations for development programs and low-rate builds; developing manufacturing readiness roadmaps aligned with program maturity gates and MRL advancement; managing facility equipment, tooling inventory, and preventive/corrective maintenance programs; coordinating equipment qualification activities; owning the facility CAPEX budget with authority to identify, justify, and prioritize capital investments; and partnering with engineering and program teams to forecast tooling and equipment needs.
You will directly supervise production technicians and cross-functional manufacturing staff, providing coaching and development while maintaining training records. Additional responsibilities include measuring and improving production performance, utilizing quality metrics to drive improvements, participating in FMEAs and MRLAs, leading root cause and corrective action investigations, supporting Hardware Acceptance Reviews and Pre-Ship Reviews, and collaborating across safety, design engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
Required qualifications include 8–12 years of professional experience in manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, operations, or related disciplines; proven experience leading and mentoring manufacturing or operations personnel in DoD or aerospace environments, including development or prototype program support; experience supporting manufacturing in development or prototype environments with low-rate, first-article, and early-stage hardware builds; comfort operating in dynamic, rapidly evolving program environments; experience managing facility CAPEX planning and execution; demonstrated ability to manage workload, delegate effectively, and operate with limited supervision across multiple functional organizations; and experience with non-conformance processes. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance are required.
